Last night I received a phone call that Pacqiuao vs. Floyd has been secretly agreed on to take place in September of next year. Yeah, I know it's hard to believe but this is from a source from California who has a source at the Wildcard Gym. My source informed me that his source told him this week that Pacquiao vs. Floyd is ON.

Of course, given all the smokescreens we have had to endure for the last four years, there was reason to be pessimistic but he said the Wildcard guy was extremely "pumped up" about the news he learned. My source is a good friend and has never steered me wrong in anything boxing related. He is convinced it's legit information.

I tried to confirm this information with another Wildcard source but did not receive any response.

Has a secret deal been agreed upon and a fringe Wildcard insider slipped with his lip to the wrong ear?

Anything is possible at this point. Stay tuned...

One thing I can promise you is that I would never lie or bulljive my readers. When you analyze the situation, Showtime has to be growing weary of funding the Mayweather handpicking tour after the Guerrero fight lost over $ twelve million dollars. Floyd vs. Khan has potential to do even worse financially. After Canelo Alvarez saved the last Mayweather show, Showtime could be getting very anxious to recover it's massive investment in Floyd Mayweather and at this time, the Manny Pacquiao option is about the only way to do it. Let's see how things play out from here...
