Terence Bud Crawford dominated Canelo Alvarez with his superior boxing talent and multi dimensional skillset to earn a unanimous decision last night. The monumental victory means Crawford has now unified world titles in three different weight divisions, which has never been achieved before in boxing history.
The 37 year old wonder is now an undefeated five division champion (42-0, 31 knockouts).
Crawford has unified the junior welterweight, welterweight and now super middleweight divisions.
Over 70,000 fans watched the history making performance at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.
Promoter Turki Alalshikh made the fight possible – after Canelo (63-3-2, 39 KOs) had previously declined to fight American from Nebraska – with a $100m payment to the 35 year old Mexican, who did not protest the decision and showed class in defeat.

Terence Crawford now has to be considered as possibly the greatest fighter who ever lived or at least among the pantheon of elites Muhammad Ali, Sugar Ray Robinson, Sugar Ray Leonard, Joe Calzaghe, Roberto Duran, Manny Pacquiao, Lennox Lewis, Oleksandr Usyk, Bernard Hopkins.
Turki Alalshikh statement: Congratulations to Terrence “Bud” Crawford on his historic win and securing the undisputed Super Middleweight title, and became the first ever fighter to be undisputed in three different divisions! Also, a huge shout out to Saul Alvarez “Canelo” for an incredible performance, I have no doubt you’ll come back stronger! I have information that Netflix will tell you on Monday this is now officially the most watched fight in professional boxing history. And the biggest attendance in a closed stadium in USA 70,482. All of this happening because of the support and direction from His Royal Highness, Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman, God bless him. Thanks to the incredible team from Riyadh Season and Sela, big thanks to Bela Bajaria from Netflix and all the great team of Netflix, and big thanks to my brother Nick Khan, the CEO of WWE, and big thanks to my brothers Dana White and Mark Shapiro, and special thanks for my dear friends Brandon Riegg and Gabe Spitzer. Special thanks also to the production team, more than 1,200 personnel with 55 cameras…the biggest production in the history of any sport.
