Usyk Artfully Outboxes Fury Again

By Scoop Malinowski

Now we know why Tyson Fury had to be forced into fighting Oleksandr Usyk by Turki Alalshikh’s persistence, money and prodding. Fury, the mad scientist that he is, knew all along Usyk was his worst nightmare.

Usyk unanimously decisioned Fury over 12 rounds again by a comfortable, clear margin. Usyk is simply superior to Fury skillwise, athletically and in the boxing IQ department despite the physical disadvantages of height and reach.  Usyk, though not sensation or electrifying like other ring greats, is a fighting genius which mere mortals can’t qute comprehend. Fury cried robbery again, he’s good at that, but everyone could see clear as day Usyk won. And the Punchstats showed Usyk landed 35 more punches.

It was a boxing chess match duel that appealed to some ring observers, Dean Coleman called it one of the three best heavyweight title fights he ever saw. While former NHL player Kent Carlson considered the action on the dull side.

Usyk is now considered one of the all time greatest heavyweight champions with Ali, Holmes, Klitschko, Lewis, and his career record perfection of unifying cruiserweight and heavyweight titles without one single loss may actually be the greatest career in history.
