Usyk is the GOAT?

By Scoop Malinowski

Oleksandr Usyk doesn’t say it and will never say it but he could be the greatest of all time.

No heavyweight champion has achieved and performed a more perfect career.

He beat Glowacki in Poland, Hunter in America, Huck in Germany, Breidis in Latvia, Gassiev in Russia, Bellew and Chisora in UK, Joshua in UK and Saudi Arabia, Dubois in Poland and Fury in Saudi Arabia.

Nothing was arranged or rigged for Usyk to take over boxing but he somehow managed to conquer the cruiserweight and heavyweight divisions by unifying all the belts in each. He smashed all the plans of the empire – or boxing illuminati – favorite fighters (Anthony Joshua, Tyson Fury) and their sneak attack to dethrone him (Daniel Dubois).

Now Fury is being sent back to try to do the job he failed at the first time… a task nobody has been able to accomplish in the professional ranks of boxing.

Don’t try to tell me boxing was much tougher back in the 60s and 70s and 80s or early 2000s. That’s a myth that nobody can prove. All sports evolve, the athletes get smarter, stronger because of the experience gains from the previous kings and their own hard work, trial and error and execution.

I say Usyk would beat Muhammad Ali, Lennox Lewis, Larry Holmes, Mike Tyson, anybody you can think of. He’s actually unbeatable. That’s what his amazing record says. The man is unbeatable. Never had a bad night, a bad fight, a bad camp, he has solved the puzzle of boxing. He has found the perfect blend of boxing, fighting, movement, defense, offense, heart, courage, guts, and combined it with physical and psychological supremacy.

Usyk, now 37, won the Olympic gold medal in 2012 and has won all 22 of his pro fights, a career which began in November 2013 with a 5th round KO of Felipe Romero in Ukraine. Usyk’s first world title, the WBO Cruiserweight championship, was won in September 2016 vs Krzysztof Glowacki (by decision). It was his tenth pro fight.

The evidence is overwhelming. The record is perfect. The skillset is unstoppable. Usyk has had the answers for everything thrown at him, every giant who tried to knock his block off.  The man makes this brutal, vicious, cruel sport somehow look easy.

There’s nothing for the critics and pundits to attack or exploit. The bottom line is: Usyk has been impossible to defeat.

Oleksandr Usyk is the ultimate fighting machine. Yes, I do believe he is the greatest of all time.
