Oleksandr Usyk won a very good close fight. He outworked Anthony Joshua and wanted it more. Usyk may not have powerful punches but he puts them together in creative combinations as well as, if not better, than any heavyweight champion I ever saw. Though his face was not marked or damaged, Joshua knows he lost, you could see it in his body language and facial expressions after the final bell. He was surprised by Usyk’s will to win and his relentless punching attacks. Joshua underestimated Usyk again and vented his frustration and disappointment in the ring in a strange outburst that was embarrassing and unintentionally disrespectful to the champion. Joshua’s value dropped considerably tonight. Hrgovic and Zhang both impressed me in the IBF Eliminator, look forward to see them both box again.
