Suspicion Alert: Wilder Now Sounds Like He’s Pals With Fury

Could Fury vs Wilder be an inside job?-media-1

By Scoop Malinowski

This whole Deontay Wilder vs Tyson Fury sudden alliance smells worse every day. Now Wilder is saying he’s friends, practically business partners with Fury…

“I believe 100 percent that this fight is going to happen and it’s going to get done. We’re very, very close. Closer than Joshua and me could ever get in a lifetime. It’s definitely gonna happen, there’s no doubt. There’s just a little more work to be done,” Wilder told Mike Coppinger of The Ring.

“Me and Fury, we talked with each other back and forth. I think he’s a great guy, we have a relationship together, and my team has a relationship with his team. This is going to be better than Joshua when it all boils down to it … and we know Tyson Fury, in many eyes, is still the champ, he hasn’t been defeated. He’s still undefeated. He’s still the lineal champion. Once I knock him off, I become that man who beat the man.”

When did they start their “relationship” together? When Fury got in Wilder’s face in Brooklyn a couple of years ago and called him a bum to his face three times?  And Wilder called Fury a fraud.

Read my report about the Fury-Wilder Brooklyn confrontation:

The formerly tense rivals with no respect for each other now sound like two fighters about to engage in a choreograph.

“I’m super excited, I can’t wait for this thing to be official and we can get the promotion going and get the fans riled up for it,” said Wilder to The Ring this week.  “I feel he’s going to be back into his top form, he’s in shape, he’s slimmed down, he’s been a champion before, he knows what it takes to be a champion, to adjust to other fighters. Once you’re a champion, there ain’t no excuses. It’s going to be a helluva fight, this guy’s not scared, he’s coming to America to fight in my house.”

Ask yourself… If Wilder was never close to a deal with Joshua then why did Shelly Finkel say they had just about agreed on everything and Team Wilder sat on Eddie Hearn’s contract for almost two weeks before finally not signing? Yeah, these facts stink -and they suggest Team Wilder was just pretending all along to negotiate with Joshua.

Now the new smokescreen – this Wilder and Fury alliance – sounds a little too friendly and business-oriented compared to their tense face to face meeting in Brooklyn a few years ago when Fury stormed the ring and got in Wilder’s face and exchanged fighting words, not friendship words.

Wilder and his team successfully escaped a fight with Joshua and now have found their hiding spot for the time being – a very questionable, suspicious “fight” with Tyson Fury which has too many hints and signs of being a WWF business arrangement.
